C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona Scholarship

At C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona, we believe education is the key to a brighter future. Each year, we dedicate a portion of the proceeds from our annual event to the C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona Scholarship Fund, providing opportunities for students who are committed to making a difference in the Latino community.
This year, we are proud to welcome PAK Home Realty as a new partner in our mission to support local youth. Their generous contribution will help us expand our impact and reach more deserving students.

Eligibility :

  • Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • 1. Demonstrate an impact on or commitment to the Latino community.
  • 2. Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program, or plan to enroll in 2026, at one of the Arizona State Universities (in person or online).
  • 3. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Deadline : February 28, 2026

Required Application Materials :

  • Applicants must submit the following materials for consideration:
  • 1. Completed Application Form
  • 2. Unofficial School Transcripts from your current institution
  • 3. Three Letters of Recommendation
  • Academic Letter: A letter from  a current or recent academic instructor or professor
  • Personal Letter: A letter from someone who can speak to the applicant’s character and personal qualities
  • Professional Letter: A letter  from a current or recent employer/supervisor (if applicable)
  • 4. Essay Submission: (500 words, double-spaced) on one of the following topics:
  • Preserving Cultural Heritage – Describe a tradition, art form, or cultural practice important to you or your family. Explain why it should be preserved and how you can help keep it alive.
  • Leadership in Service to the Community – Share a time you took initiative to help your community, what you learned, and how you will apply it in the future.
  • The Power of Arts and Culture in Social Change – Explain how art, music, dance, or storytelling can inspire change within the Latino community or society as a whole, using examples from history, current events, or your own experience.
  • The Importance of Community and Cultural Diversity – The essay should discuss the significance of cultural diversity within a community and explain how it contributes to society’s well-being and growth. How will you impact or contribute to the Latino Community.

Award Presentation:

  • Three scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded. Recipients will be announced and recognized at the 3rd Annual Phoenix Mariachi & Folklórico Festival on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Herber Theater Center. Winners must be present to receive their award.
